Okay, is it just me or are other here also really getting hyped for No Man's Sky?
This game looks absolutely amazing, not just that but I kinda get the feeling that it's going to revolutionise gaming. At least the way procedural generations work in video games. The calculations and algorithms they've been using are astounding, just the logic behind it. I have been watching all the dev videos, behind the scenes and talks and discussions about this one.
I must say. This one seems to be flying under the radar. Everyone knows about it, but where's the excitement?
For Science!
I propose a little experiment for anyone getting the game. If we can do this we can showcase the vastness of the game and what it has to offer.
Basically, you take a screenshot of the very first landscape you see when starting the game for the first time, after the intro is done and post it in this thread. From when you have control of your character, I believe everyone will start on the surface of a planet and need to find a ship.
Let's see and share what everyone's starting point looks like within the game and vistas you are afforded.
Also, please state the name of your home planet for cartographic archives.
