In a joint statement, auto manufacturer Ford and console manufacturer Microsoft have officially confirmed the next entry in the Xbox's hit racing franchise, Forza Motorsport 6, is currently in development for the Xbox One.

This announcement comes from the ongoing North American International Auto Show in Detroit, where Ford has just unveiled its new Ford GT supercar - the same supercar seen above, which will grace the cover of Forza Motorsport 6. Additionally, the two companies also announced the game will feature the newly revealed F-150 Raptor and Shelby GT350 Mustang models before they are available to the public.

Man it's as if microsoft completely forgot they have another console still to make games for thanx a fkn lot there goes my interest in the series. Guess i'll start playing more wwe on my xbox now

Times they are a changing dude. :) There were 3 installments of Forza on the 360, so it's about time they remove the shackles and build all new games.
 
But Horizon 2 dame out so why not bring us 5 and 6 as well i still can't justify buying a 6K console just for 2 games. typical of microsoft to just say "fuck the older console owners if they wanna play the new game let them buy our new overpriced console"

the problem is if they release it concurrently like they did with horizon 2 the fanboys are going to complain again that the 360 one is inferior (on purpose), not considering the hardware limitations of the console, and making 2 titles is uber (no pun intended) expensive , 2 devs, cant use the same engine (sometimes as in the case of forza due to console limitations) so they have to make both titles from scratch they cant use the same assets so they have to make new models or reduce polycount on models to get it working on the old console etc.

i love my 360 but u can see that u cant expect miracles anymore, 10 years for a console to receive constant support is pretty amazing that games are still made on both the 360 and ps3 but we really cant expect to receive continuous support forever, at the moment the 360 and ps3 are holding games back cause devs doing multiplats have to consider the limitations of those consoles so they hold back new and exciting features they could have implemented.
 
Forza and Halo this year again Microsoft really are milking these franchises to death.It is weird that they anounced it so soon I wonder if dynamic weather and time will make it in this time.Project Cars will have those features and it is on the Xbone so I think fans will be expecting it.
