True. Kinda off topic but i popped into Honda to test drive a civic the other day. Apparently due to the recession Honda is only producing the more expensive luxury VXI models for 2010! Go figure...RooZA on 14/01/2010 05:00:19
Rubbish; this defies all logic. In a recession, due to lack of sales (less money to go around) prices drop in order grab extra sales. This world and more specifically this country is full of greedy morons that will end up loosing everything due to their lack knowledge of basic economic principles.![]()
Well...looks like I'm spending a lot more time on my consoles this year![]()
My ignore list: growing too fast to keep updating.
Considering this news, there is no time like the present to buy what you need and want.
What the mind can conceive, it can achieve.
lol, yeah, I'm only upgrading to a Core2 Duo E7500 (dual core 2.93ghz) with GTS 250 and that will make me happy!!Have not "upgraded" my home PC in over 6 years. Been gaming on my notebook (core 2 duo 1.8ghz with HD 2600) for the last 2 years.
As lilDeath says, now is the time to buy before prices go up more! I see DDR2 has gone up about 65% since November last yearBut that's RAM prices for u; always going thru periods of volatility.
I'm planning on doing my upgrade next week if I can sort out who/where I will get my stuff from...

dammit i should've bought the ram i wanted a while back.
Prices havn't gone up yet. And we have yet to see any indication that they will go up, and like the article says, it will only be for a few months (i hope) then things will settle again.
Hopefully by that time, Nvidia gets their "fermi" out the door, and we can get some competition on the GFX front. (That HD5850 just doesn't want to break that R3k barrier!)
