Default Google text to speech problems (Samsung S3)

Ok so i needa get my old phone back into shape but i cannot use it because of Google text to speech. My old battery went hay wire and kept surging my phone, causing said problem. I got a new battery, reinstalled google text to speech but the problem still continues. It gets to the point were i cant use the phone below 60% battery life.

If the old battery damaged your phone, that might be the problem... Isn't there a built in (or 3rd party app) available for battery calibrarion? Might want to look into that.

What OS version is running on it at the moment ?

I would try flashing a newer one from the XDA Developers forum (just be VERY careful and follow the steps properly).

Did a bit of a search for you. Looks like your phone has to be rooted. Not for the weak of heart... Sorry

If it is a software problem try.

Option 1 is to reset the app. Go to Google text to speech in application manager>all tab and do a clear cache and clear data.

Option 2a is to factory reset the phone. In setting>Accounts tab (if the s3 is similar to the s4)> Backup and reset at the bottom do a Factory data reset. This will wipe your data so back up first. I use Samsung Kies software. Not the best but works for unrooted phones.

Option 2b Go into recovery mode and do a factory reset. Power off the phone. Hold the center button, volume up button and press and hold the power button. Keep holding them in untill you get the Andriod man and release the buttons. If this does not work hold center button & volume up and press power till phone switches on and then release power button only. Release the rest when android man comes up. On the menu select wipe cache and after that a wipe data/factory reset. Again do a backup before doing this.
