Ubisoft planning 5 AAA titles for FY16, reconfirms Rainbow Six, new AC & The Division

Ubisoft has set expectations for its triple-A portfolio for the coming fiscal year. The company has re-affirmed releases of anticipated titles for the year ending March 31, 2016.

For those wondering about The Division, Ubisoft still says to expect it in the coming financial year. Note that this doesn’t necessarily mean 2015, as the final quarter occurs in 2016.

Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege is still on track for the coming fiscal period. Assassin’s Creed, which was confirmed earlier this year following a leak, is also not taking a year off.

Guess they haven't learnt. Can't wait to see what drama they cause with these releases. Then again, when they're making money like this, I don't think they really care.

Each time there's a new transition of consoles, we try to create engines that take full advantage of the capacity of those consoles. In the case of Unity, we had to redo 100% of the engine. So when you do that, it's painful for all the group... and everything has to be recalibrated. With this game, a few things were not perfect when the game was launched. But the engine has been created, and it's going to help the brands to shine in the future.
