The current rules state that members with 1,000 or more posts may request a custom title, but to please make these requests count as receiving daily PMs to change titles can become annoying.
(They haven't been annoying yet, in case anyone's wondering.)
From my side also know that a forum title change request can be handled in minutes or days, depending on all the other stuff I may be working on at any given time (also: a guy has to get in some gaming time on the weekend).
That said, feel free to create polls or otherwise vote for one another's forum titles, then have the recipient PM me with their new title. For now the recipient of the title must be willing to participate in the game and have their title assigned by the community. Those who want to set their own custom title are free to continue doing so.
I can try and create an award or have some other custom icon / text styling on the title to indicate that the person risked having theirs assigned by the community.
Let me know if ya'll think that's a good idea.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.
Sounds like a good plan Jan! I like the idea of the award/custom styling and I agree it should be the member's choice to have it chosen by the community. The award icon can be like a gauntlet or something.
Me wants mah awahrd eyeconz under mah prophile!
