    Default Gametrailers

Hey i have a very serious problem.

When i click on a video to watch it it does not load at all unless its in HD and when it does load it cuts out at around 5megabites. This also happens when i try to download the videos all goes fine untill it reaches 5.5megabites then it just dies and shows completed.

I have never experienced this problem on any other site or when i try to download anything else. I am also not able to view the forums because of local only account

P.S. I am able to view all user uploaded videos

What internet connection are you on?
    Who is your ISP?
Have you got a mobile / wireless connection you can test this same problem on?
    What browser are you using?
Have you tried another browser or cleared your temp cache of your current browser or increased the size of your cache even?
What / how many videos is this happening to?
Do you know if your ISP is maybe making use of transparent proxies, since it may be a problem in the caching server's cache or that the video is actually faulty, not caching correctly.

Im with Telkom adsl and using firefox but i tried using the default internet explorer also but got the same problem.

Sometimes its able to download the videos like 1 in 30 chance of it happening.
Iv been downloading from newshost etc for almost a year so i dont think thats the problem, im also able to view metacafe videos with no problems.

Im still very new to the whole pc scene since im still quite young but im trying :/
Btw, do you mind explaining the last point you made and the cache thing.

    Thanks in advance.

Try using a program to download the video for you, like Internet Download Manager as an example.

Ok, Telkom does use transparent proxies, so that answers that question. This just means they channel all your browsing (sometimes other traffic too) through their servers to save themselves (mostly international) bandwidth on popular content (like gametrailers) and to give it to their clients (you) faster.
You won't really know if it is a problem with your ISP, except if you log a request to your ISP about it or test another Internet connection.

You can clear your browser's cache by going into Options and then looking for an option that says delete Temporary files.
In IE 8 / Chrome it is, Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab - > should have an option for Delete temporary files there... you can also increase the size of cache here when going into Settings.
Firefox should be about the same, just look for Options and then look for where it says Temporary files.

What speed is your connection btw?

Have you tried contacting your ISP for some official support?
What wireless / mobile connection did you try?
Is it a specific trailer or all of them?
Can you see if Flash is properly installed or are there any messages coming up to allow scripts in FireFox?

I have loaded Gametrailers on quite a few ISP's and different internet connections and have not had any issues with it at all.

Also, try another browser like Chrome or Opera and see what happens.

I think it will be a good idea to either phone your ISP to ask them to help or get somebody out to come and check the PC.
Of course you can always view the videos on other gaming sites, there are hundreds of them.
