As an interactive move its great, as a game not so much, hence the bad reviews.
Its more a story where you are q'ed to do things than an actual game in my view.

Nice to see a positive article on the game, despite it still stating it has a 5 hour campaign which is not true unless you speed through it. I loved it. Had a great story, I enjoyed the combat and it was one of the few games released so far this gen that feels like a significant leap in the graphics department.
i have heard that this game has a serious "Gears of War" vibe to it. is this true? I am very keen to acquire a PS4 in order to play this, along with Bloodborne and Uncharted.
I honestly think that part of the reason the game was derided was that we have grown very unaccustomed to having smaller scale single player experiences. Most of the primarily single player experiences of late have either been very large in scale and ambition (usually with a small multiplayer component); or smaller in scale with a greater multiplayer component or greater focus onto gameplay. A small scale game that focuses on it's narrative primarily is somewhat of an aberration in the modern era of gaming.
