In the wake of its recent lapse, Sony has again filed a trademark for The Last Guardian.
As of March 12, a third trademark for the game was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. It is currently pending approval.
Originally announced at E3 2009, The Last Guardian was initially meant to release on the PlayStation 3. Since then, it has weathered multiple interruptions, including the departures of its producer, executive producer, and the development team's founder.
Recent news also suggests that development may be transitioning from the PlayStation 3 to the PlayStation 4.
Despite these setbacks, a Sony representative confirmed with IGN several weeks ago that it is still in development.
