Guys, the topic is "Devs/Pubs are killing PC gaming", not "Fanboy Flame-War Spam-Fest".
Take the personal attacks to the TK, please.
No your wrong, piracy isn't "necessary" But it is an evil that devs/pubs have to live with it been around since the printing press was invented and FFS probably be around till we all die (Freelancer even had it as a tradebel commodity) devs/Pubs need to learn a way to combat it effectively, not run away or ultra high DRM
I rate you should start a new collection for it?
FYI This wasn't a Platform fanboy fightI was simply stating how the PC seems to be getting the shit end of the stick lately.
For the record I am not a PC "Elitist" "Fanboi" maybe if your read my other posts you would see that I believe all platforms have their strong/weak points.
Tho even tho I have that view, I will always remain a PC gamer, I may have a console or 2 but in the end, a majority of my gaming hours will be on PC, why? because I prefer it! and last time I checked that didn't count as "elitism" of "fanboism"
And yours even less so. Pot calling the kettle black much? I would love to sink my teeth into this discussion but the moment someone said piracy is justified this threads credibility flew out the window and why waste time, research and effort when someone actually believes that taking something without permission which = stealing can be justified on any level. Not to mention the topic is laughable at best: "Devs/Pubs are killing PC gaming " why would they kill something they make money out of. Isn't that a contradiction?
Off-topic spam removed.
Last warning, dudes.
I completely disagree with that. I think the PC is starting to pull out some Gems as of lately. Sure, there no exclusive "epics" (mass effect, borderlands etc etc) but the indie scene has had an explosion as of late.
If it werent for Direct to drive, GOG and steam I'd agree that PC gaming is dying. Steam is by far the best "DRM" there is, unlimited installs, play almost anywhere (and with the 'cloud' coming, access save games anywhere). Sure, sucky that you need to be online but already to play pc games you have to be online to activate anyway! In sa the auto update hurts, but thats Sa's fault.
Suddenly, steam goes on special and you can grab gems like torchlight for $5, and a whole mass of games 80% cheaper! Cheap games - we are happy, valve is happy, devs of games are happy with sales too. Suddenly PC games are being supported very well.
PC gaming isn't dying, it changing forms (for the better!).
Wait... what?
