I completely disagree with that. I think the PC is starting to pull out some Gems as of lately. Sure, there no exclusive "epics" (mass effect, borderlands etc etc) but the indie scene has had an explosion as of late.

If it werent for Direct to drive, GOG and steam I'd agree that PC gaming is dying. Steam is by far the best "DRM" there is, unlimited installs, play almost anywhere (and with the 'cloud' coming, access save games anywhere). Sure, sucky that you need to be online but already to play pc games you have to be online to activate anyway! In sa the auto update hurts, but thats Sa's fault.

Suddenly, steam goes on special and you can grab gems like torchlight for $5, and a whole mass of games 80% cheaper! Cheap games - we are happy, valve is happy, devs of games are happy with sales too. Suddenly PC games are being supported very well.

PC gaming isn't dying, it changing forms (for the better!).
