    Yes, i agree, it is a contradiction. You are right. You see now you said something and made your opinion known without attacking anyone.

    I really believe DRM on any level is really a waste of time. Piracy will happen. No matter what they do someone will crack it and you'll be able to download it on torrents. DRM is just not going to stop that. A person who is going to download the game is going to download the game. I'm not condoning it, not at all, but it WILL happen. The developers and publishers are only making things worse for themselves by placing restrictions on people that were going to buy the game anyway. Look at spore. People who otherwise may have bought it pirated it on principle.

    Overly restrictive DRM can't stop piracy and only alienates paying customers IMO. As said in the post before, steam is the perfect example of DRM that does not limit your use of the game. Install however many times you want etc. Anything over and above steam is overkill.
