Default Xbox Live Gold download problem[s]

On offer for Xbox 360 owners this month are Gears of War: Judgement, and Terraria. While the latter can be downloaded, I have found that GoW sits at 0% for a while before a message to the effect that the game could not be downloaded appears.

Have any of you encountered similar problems at any stage? Where you able to resolve the problem and get what you are paying a subscription for?

    Thanks

delete the incomplete download in storage on the system menu

restart the download, as soon as the download starts shutdown the console, it seems to be a frequent problem i encountered but when the games downloads while the console is in sleep mode the download usually completes

    Hi there.

My first time posting here, so howzit all.

    Apologies for hijacking this thread.

If I need to create a new one pls let me know.

I bought a game for my son on XBOX Live. Lego Marvel for the 360.
I have not been able to download it since Friday.

It will start, then either log me out of Xbox Live, or a msg will pop up saying "Can't download game"
This happens at varying times from 3% to 20 %
It will then show up as an incomplete item, either 40 kb or 5.2 GB in size

After google-ing a while it seems it is a not-uncommon issue, I have done the following.

Did the whole suggested fix they have.

Press the Guide button on your controller.
    Go to Games & Apps.
    Select Active Downloads.
    Select Cancel All.

    Step 2: Cancel partial downloads

On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
Select Storage, and then select your storage device.
Select the content type that you’re trying to download.
Find the item you’re trying to download (may appear with a yellow warning icon).
If the item is listed, select the item and then select Delete.

Step 3: Download the content again

Try downloading the content again from your download history. Here's how:

On your console, sign in to Xbox Live.
Go to Settings, and then select Account.
    Select Download History.
Browse your download history. Select the item, and then follow the on-screen instructions to download the item again.

If the download fails, try the next solution.

Solution 2: Clear your Xbox Live cache and system cache

Download problems can sometimes be fixed by deleting the Xbox Live cache and clearing the console’s system cache. Here's how:

On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
Select Storage, and then select your storage device.
    Select System Items.
    Select Marketplace System Data.
    Select Delete.
Clear your Xbox 360 system cache.
    Restart your console.
Go back to your Download History and try downloading the item again.

I have deleted and re-downloaded my his profile.
    Cables are fine.
Internet is working 100%, can access anything from anywhere, even Youtube and browse on the XBOX.

If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it.
