1st of, lets state what a "Casual Gamer" is in context of this post.
They the ones who buy any games they saw adds for on TV just because they thought "It looks shiny!" and regardless of what about the rest of the game, they still buy it. Than, they don't even commit to playing it, put it in and play it for 10 minutes and get bored and go do something else.
The others are those hipsters that flash all there games around like gold chains.
Those are the kinds of people I refer to in this topic.
Reason 1: Standards:
The casual market will buy anything and everything blow by their faces, they have no standards of quality.
Thus, quality of games are plummeting because the companies don't see the need to put any effort into the development of the games, they try and push them out as fast as possible and as pretty as possible.
Take MW2 for example. Despite all the shit about it, he game was the biggest business success for Activision. Why? Because people have no standards and can't hold there ground for shit (Just look at the famous petition picture thats floating around). And thats actually the biggest reason to not accept the casual market.
Reason 2: Useless Crap
Windows Live, Rockstar Social, the lot! Why are these things being FORCED onto people? Why can't be an optional extra? Because the casual market is too retarded to find an outside venue to set things like that up.
Reason 3: Appreciation
The true gamers, the ones who game for the love it. We practically worship the companies who bring out our favourite games, and before the casual flood, the companies used to feed of that, thats what kept them going, the love of games, the love they receive from gamers. Now where has that gone? The casual market doesn't deserve the games they play because they can't appreciate them, they don't care, as long as they look cool or feel "h2rdc03 l33t" doing it.
