Default Need CPU / Mobo combo upgrade advice

Hi everyone,

I am in need of a CPU, Motherboard, Ram upgrade.

PC will be used for gaming. I will be getting 16gb Ram but I am not sure about the CPU and Mobo combo.

Looking at an AMD FX-8320 vs Intel Core i5-4460 chip as I don't want to spend loads. Maybe around R6000 or less if possible.

Also, the MoBo is lank important for future upgrading options if I want to get a 970 GT vidcard or something like that.

Gaming is very GPU intensive and less CPU dependent so I will probably look at a 960 or 970 GT in the very near future. That get's me thinking that I can get away with an i5 or equivalent CPU for the time being until I can upgrade to an i7 in the future.

Most important for me is to get the right cost effective CPU / Mobo combo possible that should keep me happy playing games.

Thanks

Mr dampi I am thinking of selling my i7 4790K + Msi Z97 Gaming 9 AC in the near future and I reckon I'll let it go for your price.
Full warranty remaining through Rebeltech, I have full packaging and acc for the motherboard and I'm sure I still have the box for the cpu somewhere in my box room..lol

A box room, hahaha. Post pics man

dampi256 This is a good deal, you won't get better for R6k. However, as with all Intel CPU's, future proof is relative. The sockets usually last about 2 generations before they are replaced with a different socket. However, with this CPU, you won't have to do any replacing anytime soon.
The mobo will also support any GPU you can throw at it

Awesome bro. PM me when you are selling. I might not have gotten my stuff yet so I would probably check your stuff out.

I take it Ram won't be included.

That is a sweet deal.

I like the Z97 and it has loads of features I like. Definitely a beast option.
