Default Battlefield 3 on PC Multiplayer playable?

    Hi guys and girls,

I got Battlefield 3 on Origin and want to download it and start playing some online MP.

Only thing I am worried about is hackers and cheaters and whether they have "broken" the game to the point where MP online play just isn't fun anymore.

Some input will be appreciated loads.

    My goodness.
I only experienced hacking or cheating within international servers (years ago).
I do think MP still works fine but there aren't as many busy servers though. Many have migrated to BF4 instead, myself included. Have no intention (at this time) of playing BF3 again. I invested my 700 hours.

When I played it (since moved on to the MUCH superior CS:GO, and yes, I also own bf4 and it was shite), hackers weren't nearly as much of a problem as the problem of client-side hit detection. meaning even if you have decent latency (sub 50), you're still gonna get shot behind walls way too often than you'd like, purely because on the other dudes machine, you weren't behind that wall yet and he registered a hit. Played it the other day and it was super annoyingly noticeable how often that happens compared to other online fps's :/

Yea, hit registration has been one of the major issues in BF4 since launch. However according to them it's been fixed through patches etc but i wouldn't actually know as I've also moved on from BF4 to CS:GO

Honestly I don't think so(other than floodzone.) Though I did like bf 3 maps.

Last I played it was pretty hacker-free (within reason). Teams with crazy stacking & cornering one team in spawn were more of an issue.

Very much dependent on the exact crowd that is on the server...sometime cool people sometimes meh people.

Seeing as I have BF3 now, I can just as well give it a try. Not going to buy BF4 yet so will see how I do in BF3. I am a CoD Blops2 player so it will be a bit of a learning curve.

    Thanks for the input guys.
