I think they wanted you to attack constantly, but I don't enjoy playing like that.
I don't think I ever played Red Alert 3, but ya, being a strategy game, you should be able to play with whatever strategy you want to, not be forced into all out assault all the time, and if the AI managed to basically beat the enemy without help from you, then what's the point...

That's exactly how I felt. The skirmishes were amazing though. They were really challenging, especially on a harder difficulty- that to me was worth the price of the game.

Did any of you ever play KKND back in the day? That was a beast.

Love DoW. Playing The campaign now. I'm not sure I like DoW II Retribution, although I only put 2 hours in. Not sure what the difference is between DoW II and DoW Retribution? It's confusing...

It'll be fun to play sometime

lol retribution is a stand alone expansion for dow 2/ they tried to bring it back to how the original dow was with bigger armies. Dow 2 was a squad based rts.

Or games that can be played in short stints like most RPG's.
Blizzard announced, I think last year, they have officially canceled their WoW replacement.

In regards to this thread, RTS, just don't find them as fun as I use to. I have enjoyed the Warhammer squad based ones a little more, but still not something I spend all that much time with. Star-craft 2, just think it's too expensive for what it is, I haven't bothered with any of it's expansions even though I did enjoy it.

You know I was looking at some images last night, and it hasn't aged as much as some of the polygon games from that time. I was surprised. I would still play this. Would be nice if they ported it to android or brought out an HD version.
