We expected these prices, but we can't help but feel disappointed in spite.

Those prices aren't final, they are just an indication/place holder.

So by saying that, it can be expected to drop in price?

    No idea.

I also have to say whoever wrote this article doesn't know much about the SA hardware market...MSI are almost always the cheapest option when looking at getting a gpu or motherboard. Gigabyte not so much, if you want to talk expensive then mention Asus and Evga.

    All rumor and bullshit.
Fury is fast, as in really fast...especially at higher resolutions.
4GB memory means nothing, its the speed of the memory that matters. Example: GTA 5 pre cache's memory up to 7.4GB, yt only uses around 3.8GB. They are correct about heat though, the cards do get warm and don't offer much overclocking headroom but this is by far the most exciting GPU launch we'll see for at least the next year or so.

It is faster than a Titan X, so it'll be faster than a 980Ti.

Edit: There will also be 8gB variants available before the end of August so if you want Vram you can just grab one of them.

i will still see for myself. Aboout the dvi part I don't see it worth spending all that money on a active dp to dual link dvi. Here it's either rare or very expensive and I will rather upgrade to g-sync/freesync depending on what gpu I go with. I wish they made a monitor with 2 scalers inside for freesync and g-sync capability but don't know if possible.

Its just a matter of time before Dvi ports die out completely, that's just the way the cookie crumbles bud.
As for Gsync/Free sync in a single monitor, Nvidia would never allow that.

i have a feeling my next upgrade is going to be expensive. Getting a active dp-dual link dvi cable is very expensive unless you know of a cheapish one. The ones I see is almost R1.5K-R2K and I will rather save that money towards a new monitor
