Greetings peoples .....

half day kuier done and dusted ..... awesome to see the cuz again, even if the woman she got a lift with brought along frankenbaby :wtf:

That sucks, it's happened to me as well a few times, maybe consider seeing a chiro, if the vertebrae are out of alignment (what happened to me), your whole neck and shoulders spasm up and it's frikken sore and only gets worse, but a chiro can pop them back in place and have you feeling better straight away.

As much as I would love to do something like that I can't afford it :) So I will grin and hope that it will clear up soon. Heat and ice packs isnt helping. And pain killers neither.

"Gh" - pronounced as "F - eff".

Think of words using this using it but not its pronunciation then see what the word actually sounds like. :)

For neck pain, I'd go for an anti-inflammatory rather than a pain killer. Nurofen is usually pretty good and you can get extra strength ones, or Voltaren or Cataflam are also good.

In terms of cost, my chiro charges me R450 for an appointment, which I will gladly pay when I have really bad back or neck pain. She normally makes me come for a follow up though, which pushes the total up to R900, which is more hectic, but when it's really bad, it's worth it to feel human again.

Yea unless you dont have that kind of money :)

I have taken panamore and will get a voltaren shot when I go home. The painkiller is just to numb the headache that it is causing.

Doing some neck stretches can help as well. Try this

30 seconds each stretch, and return your head to vertical between stretches.

Pull your head to one side like this, then to the other side (30 seconds each side)

Then do the same thing each way, but half looking down, so it's like you're looking at your armpit (or your hip if you prefer to think of it that way)

Then use both hands to pull your head straight down.

That should stretch out the muscles that are spasming a bit, and if you're really lucky, you might get a click as the vertebrae pop back into place.
