Can anyone tell me what the advantage will be over the EXOC on the HOF (970). For almost R1000 all I really see is higher base clock and dual BIOS. Can that be right?

(yes I see the cooling is different too, but I"m asking in terms of performance, R1k addition worth the benefits?)

I would say no, the extra R1k is not worth it. If you plan on overclocking the card, that extra cooling power will come in handy though. Even then, the extra R1k is a tough sell for me.

Having owned both cards I can tell you now the HOF is far superior.

It's faster out of the box.
It overclocks much better, getting much higher clocks and stable clocks thanx to the pcb and extra power phases.
The cooling is also much better, being on avg between 7-10c cooler.
