Great post DieGrootHammer. I do think that the barriers to entry on the non-services side are dropping away, if you look at Quirky and 3dhubs as examples, the opportunities are endless. Check out this site exponentialorgs for what some incredible startups are doing.

Build a nice self-sufficient modern house (the glass, wood & brushed aluminium look) in either Canada, Sweden, Norway or Scotland.

As for opportunity...nah just for me a couple years. OK maybe a lot of years but I'll get there.

Hey bru, sorry about your brother.

Was looking at game engines the other day thinking it would be an interesting way to show/evaluate plant designs with clients. Working on a project now and people like being about to see the thing in 3D but thats zoomed out rotating the whole thing. If they could actually walk around the visualisation how it would look when its built. Thats got opportunities for training people as well I reckon.

Want an almost solid guarantee that you won't lose your boss? BYOB (Be Your Own Boss). Still a great aspiration.

I'd love to own my own firing range and fire arm training centre.

logistically and financially in SA it's a absolute nightmare. but that's what I want to do

Play games, not platforms

Most of my life was spent in pursuit of music and being in a band for a living, as hard as that life can be the dream still lives on in a small part of me.
If I had the money tree I'd get my old band back together, go full time, get a support crew together, pay them all a salary and give it one last huge final shot!

If money was no object, I would retire, buy my own little AH, build an ultra modern house on it, buy something "mid level" like this http://pcpartpicker.com/user/jacosmi...d/#view=CQ3G3C and become an YouTube gamer/commentator like Neebs.

Oh, did I mention I would like to travel Africa in something like this...

This is a really cool thread. Thanks to everyone who's posted (and to BeoTeK for kicking it off).

While I really love what I do now, if money wasn't an object I'd like to see if I can retrain in a bio/medical field of some kind. Hated bio in high school, but what I'm really interested in is researching cures for diseases that still plague life on earth.

Starting with cancer in humans. Screw cancer.

Well I can say thanks to people on this forum's support, I have taken a small step into starting my own business. Just the moral support from friends here has helped a lot and then people like DieGrootHammer who is helping me behind the scene is awesome. Now just to see if the business takes off.
