Powerstone - one of the best and weirdest fighting games i've ever played

Crash Banticoot - need i say more

Half Life - wishful Thinking this one :(

There are some franchises that I wish was still continuing as well:

No One Lives Forever - this spy-them-up set in a 60's time frame was brilliant. The sequel to the game was even better. Both these games sit with a Metacritic rating of over 90% on PC. The spin-off title that followed as a prequel was so bad that it pretty much killed the series completely. I wish this series got a proper reboot or a remaster. I loved this game a lot.

Project Gotham Racing - This game was one of the fist games I played on my Xbox 360, and it blew me away. Although these days we are getting more and more different racing games that pretty much do the same as PGR, with Forza being the spiritual successor of the franchise, it would be awesome to see a revitalizing of the old franchise.

Commandos - Why the hell did they stop this franchise. It was a brutal game of strategy and stress, forcing you to think and replay many sections of the game. I'm pretty sure there are much more that can be done with the franchise, and there are many more setting for it to be featured in.

Warcraft - Yes, I'm saying it has died. I don't see this franchise being restarted any time soon, though it is a sin for it to die like this. I hope that I'm wrong and that one of these days we will get the long awaited Warcraft 4. Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness still ranks up as one of my all time favourite games.

Age Of Empires - Although there has been some remasters and such in the near past, the franchise has probably died off complete, which is a shame. AoE has a very special place in my heart and will forever remain there. I would so love to get a new game to go WHOLOLOLO in.

Microsoft still owns that IP so a revival is still possible, could make a great addition to the current cycle, one forza prime, one horizon, one PGR, will give them more time to spit and shine their releases

Commandos as much as I loved the 1st one, the ones after just didn't do it for me. I think it just slowly had worse sales, until they tried to change it to a 1st person shooter, oddly.

Warcraft and Age of Empires, I just don't think traditional RTS games are as popular as they use to be. Personally, I think they would need a big revamp.

It's a sad thing, but you are probably right; RTS games in general has died out. It's funny why that happened, because it's one of my favourite gaming genres.

Yeah I also use to love them. I just feel the newer types have improved the genre. Like Warhammer and Company of Heroes. the older ones for me, feel really tedious, specially at the start of a new game.

 • Quake
 • Unreal
 • Blood
 • Duke (proper new one)

Those (and Doom, but its in the works atm) were the games started with when I got my my first PC and basically shaped (warped?) my mind for gaming.

The Crash Bandicoot franchise death I will never understand... They did everything right... Even when they branched off into Crash Team Racing they did that properly...

Warcraft 4 is like a distant dream that used to be so vivid and has faded over the years...

Dino Crisis... I need Capcom or someone to do a new one... like seriously...

The RTS genre used to be so big, and I think this was because as a whole they were easier to make, and less resource intensive than other types of games. Its impossible to say the genre is dead though with the likes of Starcraft... But it does seem like Starcraft is pretty much it... Yes there are others, but non nearly with the same following as Starcraft...

Dohc-WP - Half-Life is not actually dead (if you think about it), there are just no officially confirmed or denied reports of a successor. Keep your chin up, your grandkids' grandkids might have the experience, just not you :)

Hmmm... I'm kinda torn up with this. I really prefer new IP as some devs/publishers *cough* EA *cough* Ubisoft *cough* really rape (no nicer way to say it) older IP when they release remakes/reboots/prequels/sequels/parallel storylines. Honestly we could quite easily see a new Wing Commander, but it will destroy the fond memories we had of the series and all related spin-offs
