Spending your Tax refund

I checked with my mother, she says hers goes towards overdraft as by the time that it gets to us we are generally in overdraft I dont earn enough for this

I got 3.5k back about a month ago but had to buy 4 new tyres for my car which was 12k so tax refund spent already!
