This will REALLY suck if I cannot run this game properly. I score over 22,000 on 3DMark Vantage for crying out loud! There should be NO reason to upgrade yet!![]()

My ignore list: growing too fast to keep updating.
Crysis and GTA 4 are very bad examples to use. Crysis could MAYBE be a point of reference and I'm inclined to say that if your CPU can handle Crysis then it's FINE. The fact that your CPU struggles with GTA 4 is irrelevant because EVERYONE's CPU struggles with GTA 4. It's not about an "epic" game, it comes down to GTA 4 having the worst coding and optimization ever for a PC title. It's NOT a hardware problem.
I'm running an E8600 at 4.11GHz. If BC2 doesn't think that's good enough, well, toughies. I'm upgrading later this year but NOT for one game, that's for sure.

In the Bf2 game there is following configuration is needed:
Windows XP,
1.7 GHz AMD Athlon XP, Sempron,
Intel Pentium 4 or Celeron D CPU,
512 MB RAM,
2.3 GB hard disk space,
sound card,
DirectX compatible 128 MB graphics card,
Radeon 8500 or GeForce FX 5700
No problems on my side at all. Running at maximum settings @ 1980x1200 with 2x AA and 16 anitropic filtering. Turned that horrible bloom effect off.

Here is a very good video card comparison on XBitlabs.com for BF:BC2
