This will REALLY suck if I cannot run this game properly. I score over 22,000 on 3DMark Vantage for crying out loud! There should be NO reason to upgrade yet!

I hope they sort out the performance before release, I'm not upgrading for one game. My CPU can handle crysis just fine, but struggles at times with gta iv. Hopefully it's not going to be another gta iv scenario. On another note, what is the games bandwidth usage like?

Crysis and GTA 4 are very bad examples to use. Crysis could MAYBE be a point of reference and I'm inclined to say that if your CPU can handle Crysis then it's FINE. The fact that your CPU struggles with GTA 4 is irrelevant because EVERYONE's CPU struggles with GTA 4. It's not about an "epic" game, it comes down to GTA 4 having the worst coding and optimization ever for a PC title. It's NOT a hardware problem.

I'm running an E8600 at 4.11GHz. If BC2 doesn't think that's good enough, well, toughies. I'm upgrading later this year but NOT for one game, that's for sure.

No problems on my side at all. Running at maximum settings @ 1980x1200 with 2x AA and 16 anitropic filtering. Turned that horrible bloom effect off.
