Default Best game to just relax and enjoy

Over the weekend, the Greek administrative and global economic leaders came together to discuss a multi-billion Euro bailout agreement for the Greek government. This deal would need to benefit and save millions of people on the brink of an economical collapse. The pressure of such an agreement got the better of these high ranking officials, and during the all night talks, they took a brake to relax. Many of there delegates retreated to quiet locations and it's reported played various video games to relax.

That brought me to a question, what games are perfect to play in situations like that? What games do you play to just unwind and relax? Games that make you forget about stresses and gives your mind an escape.

Obviously, most games we play are played to just relax and unwind, but I'm talking about those games that really just put you into a trance of relaxation, and that you walked away from rested and refreshed.

For me, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a perfect example of one such game. There is no other better therapy that just firing up that game, getting into my truck, and cruising along the European countryside, while the whole continent falls to pieces around me and my sweet MP3 blaring in the background.

I actually enjoy empire building games to relax. Something like Age of Empires or -Mythology. I play random maps against one AI opponent on easy on the biggest size map. I then focus on farming and building huge cities surrounded by walls and towers, then finish off the AI after an hour or so.

I do this too. So glad to hear I'm not the only one that does this.

Also, another game I want to add to my Enya Gaming list (yes, that's what I'm calling it) is Microsoft Flight Simulator. Just select an ease to fly plane, sit back and just fly...nothing as relaxing as that.

Talos Principle - easily the most "peaceful" vibe I've encountered in a game. Also quite appropriately themed for this thread

Isn't it a bit of a cerebral game? When I want to veg out and relax in a game, I prefer to also switch off my think centre, so puzzles are out.

For me it's Audiosurf... or well these days Audiosurf 2. I haven't put 70 hours into the first one for no reason.

I just put on my favourite songs and then surf them, usually in Mono Classic. It's like meditation. Your mind goes blank and you make peace with the world.

For me it's Skyrim, or Guild Wars 2, i can just sit back, relax and go on an adventure whilst listening to some music and just letting my mind wander.
