Not too long until the opening ceremony! I saw somewhere that the weather is terrible at the moment. Not sure if it's true though.

How was the opening ceremony? I missed it, unfortunately.
One day, I'll grow up and become responsible.
    Probably not today.

It was cute. Prince Harry made a cameo appearance. A few others as well apparently but I missed that.

The opening ceremonies to big sporting events always seem a bit overdone to me. You kinda expect all the players to suddenly break out into a spontaneous Bollywood song'n dance routine.

There was the re-enactment of when Ellis first picked up the ball, broke the rules and ran with it. And then some actual stuff in the stadium. Quite low budget, kinda thankful they didn't drag it out like some other ceremonies.

It was a great ceremony. Short and powerful. The way it should be.

The England Fiji game was also fun to watch so overall it was a great start to the World Cup.

Just shows how important goal kicking is at the World Cup. Fiji missed way too many shots at the posts. They would have put England under major pressure.

Yeah there were some shocking errors in that game but good news is that a South African Scored the First try of RWC 2015

i actually thought the opening ceremony was quite blah...they could have skipped the whole thing to be honest and the world in union song with some rapper narrating was shit. the 1995 rendition of world in union is still the best version!

last nights game proved that England wont be winning the world cup this year. if Fifji just managed to be more disciplined this game would have turned out completely different. that Nandolo guy was a beast on the field, kicking, tackling and running through people as well as that scrum half of them that will be playing for Bath soon.

It was not high budget but it was okay. Liked the pre-recorded thing more. The rapper was annoying I agree.

I also felt that England couldn't possibly win. But we are also hoping that our unfit players get fit double quick within the first few matches so I'll wait and see how everyone develops after the first game.
