I hate unskippable cutscenes, and in racing games the rubberband AI

Awesome article. I concur with every point. It boggles my mind how game developers continue implementing such blatantly crap design choices. Do they not play games themselves? Is it laziness?

And yet they have testers that play the game till they totally sick, and then they write full articles about what they have tested. I know that is only for bugs in the code, but they could implement the same sort of thing to get rid of these pathetic cliches.

I dont have a problem with QTE's (Essentially QTE's are Dramatic Interactive cinematic sequences in games) Reasons why devs sometimes add QTE's to games is to add a cinematic flair to the gameplay (IE Shenmue, Tomb Raider Legend) , and not because of Lazyness.
