Figured it out. For some reason my Trophies privacy settings were on "Friends Only". I don't recall doing this so I'm not sure if the last system update caused this.
So privacy settings like i said?
Does the remote play work over WiFi network or do you require a speedy internet connection?
Wifi is just fine, from my experiences streaming to a PS-TV and Xperia Z2.

My PS4 is permanently in Rest mode, it recently started beeping uncontrollably, which is starting to annoy me.
So i turned it on, idling on the XMB, it's STILL beeping 3 short beeps in random instances. Restarted too, same thing.
Any idea what dafuq is it crying about?

Yeah I had this. It could relate to the disc eject button. I've actually pulled the rubber foot off just under the disc eject button as well as mounted it vertically. Can also try removing the side panel and gently tightening/turning the disc eject screw.
What you might also wanna try is; start it in safe mode and clear the cache.
