I think this is great. If you want old style rpgs there are many enough of them around. I'm getting bored with the same old same old. I think most game designeres are heavilly blinkered and have no idea of how far they can push the medium. This is why i'm excited about fable 3. It is trying to push the boundaries... and as with heavy rain, if you have a good director running the show and a lot of money, there is the potential for something very special.
