    Default Steam Application

    Hope someone can assist.

I can sign into the steam website (add games etc), but the Steam app refuses to connect...worked in the past.

I deleted it and installed again..."Steam is having trouble connecting..."

Steam app as on the cellphone or as in on the desktop?

You might need to delete the ClientRegistry.blob file and set your download location to a diffrent location.

In the steam folder where the steam.exe file is located.

    Its Right there.

A few more things you can try.

Right mouse click the steam shortcut.

Properties -> General tab, Target Add -tcp to the end so it looks like

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -tcp

    Or this:

deleting all steam files except steamapps folder and steam.exe

It's called ClientRegistry.blob and should be in your Steam folder. Just make sure that Steam isn't running in your task manager.

    *edit*

    Was beaten to it.

Stop die lorrie. I can't connect to Steam tonight either! The website opens fine but my Steam client doesn't want to open.

    *edit*

Okay it failed the first time but stayed open in the task manager, hence the reason why it didn't want to start up. After I closed it in the task manager it opened and connected just fine.
