    Default The LCD acquisition project

I am hoping to buy myself a small [25 inches or less] LCD TV soon [within the next two months] on a budget of
    up to R4000.

It will be replacing my PC monitor and television set.

What do I need to know about making such a purchase in order to avoid making an expensive mistake?
Which specifications are important and which are pure marketing hype?

    thank you

    Hello and thank you, Tsar

Unfortunately I do not have room for a 32 inch display.
Sitting in front of one of those while working on my computer might also be
    quite overwhelming.

The XL2370 comes with a hdmi port in in the back so it can be used as a tv with no problem.

But if you wane run a pc on a tv screen you will probably have to get a plasma as the only lcd tv's I have seen are 40'+ and expensive. I might be wrong though.

Here is a review for Xl2370 I ahve been doing lots of reading on it as I wanna buy one of them myself http://thecoolgadgets.com/samsung-le...2370-led-hdtv/

    I have seen smaller LCDs.
I should have mentioned that the reason it needs to be a television set rather than
a PC monitor is so that I can connect my PS2 or Wii to it with their AV cables.

I see that the cost of this unit varies quite a bit.
