Replicators (Stargate) is where it's at bitches!

I was thinking of making it a long threat title but stuck with Robots since its the most primitive so to speak. Tsar you mean nanobots since nano tech has been around for a long time already now.
Evil meet my Sword. Sword, meet Evil!
Not quite. There is actualy a differnce between Nano technology and Micro tecnology, though the dictionary meaning are the same, the terminology isn't. Nano tecnology relates to mechanical or moving parts. While Micro relates to electronic and stationary.
Those the commonly accepted scientific terms.

Just a quick comment on the terminator series - I still think it would be impossible for them to be that stupid that they would wire up an AI to their nuke launching thingy...IRL, you need orders from the pres, which are decoded, etc, etc, just for the nuke to be launched. And they'd give those protocols to a computer??? I would just not allow any sort of netowrk conenction at all. See how it likes it then
But I think we're more going nano tech than full on cyborg/android etc. Think of it - an androd which kills people is not the best use of expensive equipment. Rather, make like a cube which can absorb anything, so that when you fire bullets at it, it grows bigger - and thanks you for the lead....That is a much better use of robo tech. It should also have various control features and a design so that it can be shut down instantly, incase something goes wrong, such as an EMP would do the trick.
anyway, those are my thoughts - but I would love organic computing!
I think the key to creating an artificial intelegene is not digital. But physical.
Take a single nuron and create something to emulate it. Than take a brain and map out each and every nuron in it and how there connected and so forth. Than you build your brain.

I think humans should take all these robot stories into account, even tho they are fiction ,they make some very valid points and I hope I never live to see that day
