I managed to finish Bioshock 2 last night and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd game in the franchise. Though not as good as the all time classic that was the first game. The four studio collaborative effort between: 2K Marin, 2K Australia, 2K China and Digital Extremes, still made a very worthy successor to the original game. Even though they did rely and cashed in on, what made the Bioshock such a great game, but why fix something when it isn’t broken? But it has to be noted that Bioshock 2’s single player campaign feels shorter compared to the first game. Completing it in less than twelve hours is possible if you are a big fan of FPS fan and you dont explore every nook and cranny of Rapture.
If you played the first game in the series then, you already have a good understanding of how plasmids work and their effects on the different enemies you encounter. This makes the Bioshock 2 experience a bit easier and considerably shorter. The addition of the multiplayer mode will also give you a few extra hours of fun. Don’t underestimate the multiplayer, play it and you may change your mind as to its worth it. Bioshock 2 remains a great game that every gamer should check out, whether you’ve played the first game or not and is still one of my favorite FPS titles on the console .
