I was thinking about what Garreth Cliff was saying on 5FM this morning about the whole global repression thing and how its affecting most of our jobs in this country as well.... what would you guys do if your boss said either your jobs stay on the line or you secure your jobs and take Fridays off and only work a 4 day week how would you feel about that????

Just a question use it...... dont use it......

nah not quite im too good at my job to lose it lol... my boss would find it extremely hard to replace me lol...

Quite a few companies are adopting this strategy lately.

One inparticular: They've asked their employees whether they would a) risk retrenchment of some staff or b) work 4 day weeks, and nobody gets bonuses/pay increases.

i think here in sa the worst is still to come mining, motor industry and anyone else pretty much...

I don't think it's a case of being too good to be replaced as much as it is about it being too much of a financial delay/schlep to find another capable person and training him/her to the same level.
