PC gamers will be able to use Xbox One controllers for Windows 10 soon.

The Xbox Wireless Adapter is coming October 20 and will retail for $25 USD, according to the official Xbox website.

The adapter allows the use of Xbox One controllers on Windows 10 PCs, laptops and tablets. The adapter was revealed earlier in the year, and an $80 Xbox One controller and adapter bundle was previously mentioned. The website currently only lists the adapter by itself.

It should be noted that it is not compatible with Xbox 360 controllers.

In related news, Microsoft held a Windows 10 live event, revealing new devices. Microsoft’s first laptop, the Surface Book, was announced and Microsoft claims it runs 50% faster than the MacBook Pro. The Surface Pro 4 was also revealed, in addition to a new mixed-reality game called Project X-Ray for the HoloLens.

You can use an Xbox One controller with a micro USB cable though, can't you?

well yeah, it just sometimes gets in the way or between your toes or caught on the edge of the desk or or or....

it would just be nice to sit and be unobstructed.

yeah you can. I was pretty confused about this article at 1st. but i guess its for people who want to get rid of the cable. Not something I have ever found to be an issue.
