This is a brilliant party game which will provide a great deal of laughs and encourage some friendly competitiveness. It uses an ingenious control scheme, you can use any tablet or smartphone as a controller connected to you wifi network. You browse to the Jackbox.tv website, enter your lobby code and you're in the game.

It's a collection of 5 different games but the one that you really want to play is Fibbage XL. In the game a not so well known fact is displayed on the screen with the answer/name missing and you get to fill in the blank, except what you want to do is type a convincing lie that others will then select when it comes time to choose the right answer. You then attempt to pick the right answer while avoiding being fooled by everyone else's lies. You get points for choosing the right answer and points for each person who chose your lie. After a few rounds the person with the most points wins.
You are guaranteed a good few laughs at some of the outrageous lies your friends come up with and even at times at the unbelievably correct answer.

Of the other games, the You don't know Jack quiz, Drawful and Lie Swatter are also pretty fun. The last game, Wordspud is pretty pointless though. Still 4/5 decent party games isn't bad and it's worth it for Fibbage XL alone.

Ahh yes i have seen so many people on youtube play this and I have always wanted to, but none i know has it so i have never gotten it.

Isn't it local multiplayer only anyway? That was always the impression I got.

TotalBiscuit has this to say in his recommendation on steam:
"A selection of enjoyable multiplayer party games that you play using your browser or phone. Innovative and interesting, can also be played over streams."

So it seems you can play online as long as you can watch a stream of what's on the host's screen. For the controllers you browse on your device to jackbox.tv where you put in the 4 digit code which connects you to the server pc, whether over Wifi or the internet it seems.

How many people can realistically stream in SA though?

Only those with fibre I guess, but it may be possible. I'd recommend playing this in your living room since the fun really comes from laughing along with your friends.

So TechThief grab the game next time it's on special and invite some people over to play, it's fun even with family members. We gave my parents the tablet to play along the other day and half the fun was watching them try to type their answers in time as they're not the best when it comes to touch screens!

it's been on my wishlist since it dropped. I see Party Pack 2 is available so I'll probably get that cause it includes the Quiplash expansion
