Yeah, I'm passing on Windows 10 as well. It will not install on my pc. After the first restart, the screen just goes black. Until they release a proper installation ISO that works on my PC, I'm not bothering. Spent a whole weekend trying to get Win 10 to work. Not wasting any more time on it.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

If it goes black then it is your graphics driver so you have to force the rollback and stop windows updates as Windows 10 will update it anytime you connected to the internet.

It was a clean installation so I don't get even close to setting any options or anything. I did try and specify the location of the display drivers to use on a usb stick during the initials steps, but to no avail.

Rebooting my Windows 10 laptop still takes forever. In Win 8.1 it rebooted in about 10 seconds flat. I also regularly get stuck on the sign-in screen and then I have to reboot, in which case I just go make tea because it's going to take forever anyway.

I keep meaning to install Ubuntu on it but I'm lazy.

If Origin is running when this happening, try terminating it and see if your sound resumes.
I was using the default windows/windows update driver. I put the win8 driver from MSI's website and it seems to be holding out ok, however we didn't really get to play too long after I updated them. The problem was on Forced through Steam. Don't even think I've put origin on the laptop yet...

I use the drivers from the cd or I download them and I never use the Windows ones as they usually either outdated or broken.

Hopefully the Win 8 ones carry on working for you as they are compatible.

Ya, I never use the CD, I always grab them off the website. But I figured the win10 ones would be newer than the win8 ones on the web... Maybe I should just get direct from realtek... Anyways, I don't think it'll be a problem anymore.

I had some small irritations at the start when I installed Windows 10 op my laptop, but after a few updates all those issues are gone now. At the moment I cannot see any reason why I would go back to any other version of Windows other than Windows 10. It will keep on getting better and better as time passes and they fix more issues.
