But seriously, you should probably do what your s.o. wants, or at least come to some amicable agreement. Gaming is great 'n all but if it trumps having a meaningful, loving relationship with another human being then you're doing it very, very wrong.
What I find totally insane in this thread is that people take this stuff seriously. C'mon. Be realistic. Of course your relationship with your wife / girlfriend is more important than games. Games, like any other hobby, is done using the time you have to relax. It will never be a substitute for a real relationship and the older you get, you'll have to realize at one point or another that gaming takes a back seat most of the time. The great thing about gaming is, once it's in your blood, it's part of who you are. So other people do gardening, we do gaming.
Everything in moderation. Such is life.
