This was never an issue for me personally, since I always converted to Rands before purchases, with actually rounding up the exchange rate. So it looked worse, everything looks cheaper to me now. Plus didn't anyone get an sms after purchasing and see the Rand amount? Would have thought it would take one purchase of think its cheap because of Dollars and then get the sms and be

Rocksmith was always relatively cheap on Steam , the problem with this game is that guitar cable that you need . The retail versions usually come with the R300+ cable attached, which increased the local/retail versions' prices , even if you had the cable already.

I already own and play Rocksmith 2014, I just want the extra songs from the original Rocksmith as well. I'll have to buy the "import tool" for about $10 as well though, but it will be considerably cheaper tham buying DLC songs for about R30 each.

Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere already.

Just noticed that GTA V is now priced at R799 on Steam. IIRC, its normal price was R589 when they switched to ZAR. I don't recall the prices of other games, so I don't know if this is an isolated incident.
One day, I'll grow up and become responsible.
    Probably not today.

Yes, you can always buy Ancient Planet for it's 50% off discounted price of R 3 749.50

[SARCASM]Not too badly priced for an indie title i'd say :-)[/SARCASM]

What some companies do is that they increase the price just before a sale and then have a big percentage off. There's a sale coming Wednesday. This is speculation though and may not be the case here.

    *edit*
I see it happened before the last big sale too:

Also noticed that "Serious Sam Classic: The First Encounter" and "Serious Sam Classic: The Second Encounter" are both more expensive than Fallout 4

Yeah I had to buy the cable on Takealot for around that much, so it is pretty pricey when you combine the game + cable.

We should look for games where the price was set way too low.
