Damn, I know its all in the mind, but seeing prices in rand makes it looks more expensive!Being used to see it in $'s makes the game look more expensive when looking at the rand value...Space Engineers, R269? Really, I paid like $15 or $20 for it...oh wait...
Not that I just bought on sales, I did the math, just now its in your face, not a mental note.![]()
Nah I agree with VirtualForce, psychologically games feel more expensive even though they aren't. Just because the values are bigger. It's like the whole thing where prices end with a 9 because psychologically it deceives your mind that it's cheaper than what it is. The same effect is happening here. Doing the math and seeing the prices are two different things and it would make for an interesting study.
I know what a dollar cost, even though I am not financially inclined, I watch the financial indicators. I was trying to say, to my eyes at least, for a split second, $19 looked cheaper than R280. When I buy something in USD, I get a SMS within a few seconds that so many ZAR was taken from my tipbank.
But yeah, dont tell my wife...![]()
Maybe it's because I'm a special little rainbow but I've always done the math before buying. And I did a Zuma on it as well: Exchange is 11.34? I add up to 12, just a bit faster
So, yeah. For me it feels like Christmas came early.
Just wish I had a place to set up my PC. Going on a month of only being connect through work and phone.
But that's a tale for another day.![]()
One day, I'll grow up and become responsible.
Probably not today.
