Whats the point. I get expensive headsets, but somewhere round the 3k mark I doubt you'll get much real benefit beyond that. (or say 10k if you're an audio snob)

Most of the good stuff in there starts @ R100,000, and you need more than one piece of kit to build a complete system. You even get things like electricity filters. My dad swears that he can hear electrical interference.
Anyway, all music (but especially what you get on SACDs) sounds amazing with that gear. A totally different experience.

That isn't a steam punk vibe. That's the nature of tube amps.
Those tubes get extremely hot and it helps to dissipate the heat. One of the reasons for its design.
