Thank you so much to all who joined us for the Devilian OBT! I understand some of you don't have time to waste levelling characters that'll be wiped for Early Access / Launch, but those of us who derped this weekend had great fun, managed to max out guild spots, and meet some kiff new gamers. Hope to see all interested parties again at launch (Thursday, December 10 at 20:00 (GMT+2), for more pwnage and lulz!
Fellow Devilians! The hour is nearly upon us! Join us in for Devilian's Early Access launch tonight at 20:00 (GMT+2) on Segarro EU! Add Yoshemaru to friends in-game so we can keep in touch, and shower each other with gifts until the guild has been created! If I even get a whiff of impenetrable queues, unplayable lag, or server lockouts, I shall head over to Seadrift EU and create a guild there. The last thing I want is for all of the great folks we played with during BETA (and the new folks we have not yet had the pleasure of playing with) to be unable to join us!
Apologies to anyone who is currently queued to join us! We have 50 people and counting on the waiting list to join the guild, and are currently grinding our collective butts off to open up more spots in the guild! Announcement HERE.
I've tried it a couple hours last night and today and unfortunatly its not for me. It's very generic which is expected from an Asian mmo. Its the combat that doesnt feel right. I've spend countless hours in D3 and POE, and this just feels "clunky" in comparison.
Also the click detection in this game is going to make me hulk smash my mouse right through the desk. I've noticed it would sometimes just run through a mob rather than attacking if you have an attack skill bound to the left mouse button.
If you are into Asian MMO's or a casual ARPG player, try it. I'm not sure if its worth the 7gb download if you are more of a hardcore D3/POE fan.
I respect your opinion. Everyone has their own combat/gameplay preferences. I too played all of the Diablos (D2 on dial-up nogal) and PoE (which I actually preferred to D3). In my opinion, nought can compare to the grittiness of Diablo, however, I find the pace of the combat / dungeons / PvP more exciting in Devilian. One thing the game has reintroduced to the genre is community and social play. It's basically impossible to have tiny guilds (or dead wood in said guilds). Players are more social and willing to contribute, and guild leaders are more discerning due to the amount of play time and money required to level the guild. Guild alliances and PvP also add a competitive element that was definitely missing in D3. When I started the clan I really thought that it'd be a cool little side gig to have while awaiting Blade & Soul, and never imagined that we'd be jamming Hell runs into the wee hours to keep ourselves at the top of the ladder. You're spot on that it's not for everyone, and who knows how long it'll last, but it's definitely one of more fun and social games I've played (besides B&S) in a long time! (^_^)
