    Default New gaming club

I am launching a gaming club soon and looking for members. It will be for all gamers (pc,xbox,ps3,wii,etc). Special prices on new games, discounts and prizes from sponsors. involvement in league gaming. If anyone wants to join, offer advice or help out, post or message me

    Default nobody interested?

I see there aren't any posts. I can't have a membership program for gamers without any members.

Here's the incentive to get ppl involved:
For every person who joins that you refered, you get R40. So get 10 ppl to join and you get R400.
Get 50 memberships and I will send a ps3 your way (or you could take the cash, R2000).
70 memberships and you get a Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook (or R2800).
100 memberships and you get a Panasonic 50" (127cm) plasma tv (or R4000).

I'll be honest. Schemes like this only really result in email inboxes getting spammed with unsolicited invitations. Personally, that pisses me off.

Also, I'm not entirely sure what the benefit - outside of alleged prizes for pissing people off - of joining this club is. Special prices on new games? Can you back that up? I mean, are you talking to Zaps, BT Games, Look & Listen, maybe Take2 and Kalahari.net? And involvement in league gaming? Doesn't that mostly just involve hanging around on local servers anyway?

I don't mean to offend you, but if you're resorting to scrounging memberships with (frankly dubious) "incentives" on local forums, I don't think you've quite got your business plan together.

    Default Ok, sorry..

Ok, let me apologise before I get flammed, spammed or banned. Maybe this wasn't a very clever way of doing things. Forget about any incentives for now.
My thinking (perhaps naive or flawed) was this:
Rrp of a latest release (xbox,ps3) is R699. Members could get the game for about R590 (R560 + R30 delivery). A R20/mth (R240/yr) membership would therefore pretty much pay for itself if 2 titles were purchased a year.
