Also ordered Steam Link and Controller. Awaiting delivery. I have Dark Souls PTD and Dark Souls II that I am not willing to play with KB and mouse. Project Cars should be awesome on TV.

Yep. The controller and link worked out to about R670 each (Both 50 usd) or close to that but the total price ended up being around R2k

Amazon shows you the duties at checkout. You can pay it in advance so that you don't pay the courrier anything.

Yea, Amazon works it all out for you, they'll add VAT + Customs + Shipping . So the final price is usually quite a bit of a shocker if you were just looking at the retail price on the site.

Damn! You could've bought a second controller with the customs duties.

Had a look at Raru too. Doing a US import would cost R1300. Guess I'll be waiting (forever) for this to become available locally.

I got the controller and the link for R2000 or so.

Rand was just under 14 to the dollar so the two items worked out to R1400 or so. Priority shipping was R300 and customs about R300 as well. The customs are +14% on 1.1 times the value. This is the case for electronics but my parcel was marked as Music CD for some reason - which is calculated at the same rate luckily.

Enjoying it so far. Tomb raider, Dark Souls, Project Cars, and Civilizations seem to work very well.
