I would suggest asking one of the ISP's to load the client onto a local server.

Good luck, I have been playing the game for ages and it is great.

Do the expansions have most of that content? If so then getting them will help a lot.

Why not try to get WAGE to upload it then you can download it for free, if you have a webafrica account.

We should compile a list of contact details of people we can get in touch with to host local files.

The only thing that sucks is that MMO's tend to get patched quite regularly, so if 6 months down the line you discover the full World of Warcraft of Lord of the Rings Online download you're pretty much screwed, as you'll have to download gigs of patches anyway.

So frustrating Wish WebAfrica or some other ISP could mirror a large game download website that hosts patches etc. I know they're setting up a local Steam server, which is legend, but something where we can get all the free stuff too.

Also I wish there was a site or utility telling you how much gigs you will need to upgrade from X patch.

Often I am held back installing or updating after a long time not knowing what I am in for.

Always make sure you have a backup of your install directory. If you patch on a regular bases it is not that bad.

But reinstalling and downloading everything again will cost you major bucks. I always have a LOTRO directory backup to ensure I don't have issues.

quickest way ti install would be if you do have a back up. Then you can just install Mines of Moria and copy your backup over all the newly installed files.

New users will have more trouble.
    Mines of Moria
    Moria Patch
    Mirkwood
and two more updates after Mirkwood I believe.

Please corret me if I am wrong with the order there. My motherboard is broken so I can't play anymore
The game is really great. And they still bring new content and book updates regularly.

Is this game any good? I've always wanted to try it but.. Not sure

Every MMO I play I end up quitting and reactivate Dark Age of Camelot.
