I just had a look around. WTF? R11k for this phone? Even the LG G5 is costing that much, previously LG's were cheaper than the competing Samsung phone.

It used to be easy to dis iPhone's because they were so fucking expensive. Now the Samsung and LG is right up there with the price of the iPhone. Ridiculous.

If your pone gets stolen, forget about ever recovering it. Most of the phones that are stolen here land up over the boarder. My friends phone was traced to Nigeria 2 days after it was stolen.
The S8 (if they even call it that) will probably usher in new era of phone, much like the S6 did. The S7 is simply an upgrade on the S6, so if you skipped that then the S7 is worth it.

It's also possible to switch out IMEI's as well as root the phone to be something else so network operators can't lock it.

Kill switches are on the way for all phones.
Currently you would have to root the phone to add a kill switch or unwipable device tracker to it.

I went s5 and 7 for that exact reason. I consider 4 and 6 to be the beta models. 8 will likely be as well.

Also, this phone is blindingly fast. Can't wait for my vr to arrive.

Anyone else with an S7 using an SD card getting the "SD Card Removed" and "Corrupted SD card" notification messages multiple times a day? SD card disappears off the phone, but if you just wait a while it comes back with all its data still there. Contacted Samsung SA and awaiting their response.

Clean/polish the contacts on the sd card maybe?
I use the green bit from dish sponges to get contacts nice and shiny.
