If you like the game and you want to play those maps, you will buy them, indifferent of who made them.

I remember the days were map packs were for free Saddens me that games have become a corporate money bag. Look new games are good but to charge for maps is a bit silly. I thought the whole premise behind dlc is to create expansion packs in less time as it use to be(Who can forget episodic games, that did not last long)

This is really, really stupid...3 reasons

Game was sold at a premium price and very successful. They could at least give their loyal customers a little something extra.

15$ is half the price of some AAA games like Mass Effect 2. It's just too much for a DLC like this. Especially for MW2 that was sold at premium.

Thirdly and most importantly, it's MP maps which means asking a price for it will splinter their entire online community since not everyone will buy it.

Why don't everyone go back to playing UT3

There's enough free DLC for it to last you a few years.

Extra map packs for multiplayer or DLC that adds useless stuff that gamers would want then go ahead and sell it as DLC but when Ubisoft decided to rip chapters out of Assassins Creed 2 to sell as DLC later that is just wrong. I am willing to bet those chapters were done when the game was complete and the cost of which was part of the cost of making the game. So they just wanted more money.
