I spoke about this quite some time ago, I knew this generation wouldn't last as long as the previous gen consoles. The main issue here for me is that there is no way a PS4 can do 4K gaming, so they've either changed to a stronger onboard gpu and they are doing upscaling (Not true 4K, and kind of pointless) or they'll be selling it with an external gpu enclosure which will house it's own power supply and be able to deal with the extra heat.
If they are indeed doing the external gpu enclosure, you'll be looking at around $350-$400 minimum just for the add on (Depending on the gpu (Most likely a R9 380/x).
They could also just be adding a 4K capable blu ray rom...
Both the PS4 and Xone are failures to me an anyway, from the very start they weren't powerful enough. We're expected to fork over R1000 for a console exclusive but can't expect fluid gaming without frame drops. I played bloodborne (I love this game) but holy crap were the frame drops noticeable. They spoke about 1080P @60fps before the consoles launch but thus far I can't think of a single game that can maintain that. Yes not all games need high fps, most games are fine at lower fps but when a console can't even maintain 30fps [MENTION=428]1080[/MENTION]P I have to question both Sony and Microsoft's thinking when they were designing the new consoles.
