Speaking of that ET game, Atari actually buried loads of them in a landfill, they were dug up a few years ago and were sold on eBay for much profit.

Yup! I actually mention the documentary for which they were dug up in the article.
What I found most interesting is that it challenged the commonly held myth that E.T. was the worst game ever made, and lead to Atari's crash.
The truth, it turns out, is more complex. As it always is.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted, then used against you.
I spend many hours playing Grand Prix circuit and F19 stealth fighter.
Great article!!!!! Nice trip down memory lane.
Space Quest was the very first game I ever played on a PC. One of those old IBM machines. That and Super Mario Bros 3 was my jam, and the games that paved the way of me becoming a gamer.
Funny how Pac-Man made the list for (presumably) the 2600. That was far worse than ET in my opinion. They did a great job with Ms. Pac-Man though.
Where to start...I had a Commodore 64 and ZX spectrum back then. The best games - I do not know: Loved all of them. Played Pole, position, Thundercats, V (was really awesome), International Karate, The quests like King's quest, Summer games and Winter games (favourites) Hated Tetris - because once my sister and mother started on that, I can kiss gaming time goodbye.
I still throw-up a little in my throat when I hear the music.
Man Double Dragon was awesome !!!! what about circus charlie..... those damn monkey's will forever be in my nightmares.
Agreed - also liked Mikey (I think it was called. Had different names) But basically you are in a classroom full of students and have to bump them of their seats to get points and avoid the teacher catching you or throwing you with his false teeth. lol Whilst all the while the Beatle's song, It's a hard days night, is playing in the background.
