When I was in IT support in the UK, we were forced to wear long trousers, button shirts and ties... My ties looked so raggedy from getting it constantly stuck in PC cases, and the knees on my trousers quickly wore out as the corporate carpets are not made for crawling under desks on. Sometimes I just don't get why any sort of formal attire is required.

cargo shorts and a buttoned shirt most of the time. If I am filming a corporate function etc. I will dress in un-pleated trousers of some kind with a smart buttoned shirt tucked in with a belt.

shoes are generally canvas boatmans or leather dress shoes. I enjoy the tidy look.

    About the same.
No rules, I just don't like wearing the good stuff to work because it always gets ruined.

    Ah right makes sense.

Sheesh. Yeah doesn't make sense for IT support. On paper all of our support staff is supposed to wear form too (minus tie)...but they just do jeans and golf/T-shirts instead. Don't think anyone really cares...they're never going to speak to a client anyway.

At my previous job I was required to wear formal corporate wear (we developed on the client's site within the financial industry and that usually meant smart button up shirts, dress pants and a nice pair of shoes) which didn't make sense since we were stationed at the contractors building, so there was no clients in sight!

Current job doesn't really care what I wear so I am back and T-Shirts, casual dresses and flip flops/sandals for the most part. What I would wear out at the beach most of the time anyway. Sans the scanty bikini.

In today's age I am never certain Borat had a bikini on too - looked a bit upsetting. I am sure it affected his voice and if it did not make him teary eyed, it certainly did mine.

Lol - Just being careful. It could have been a sensitive subject and I unknowingly step on toes sometimes. :-)
